Gwen Wesselhoft Senior Animal Health Sales Leader
Award-Winning Animal Health Sales Representative. 20+ Years Driving Sales, Science & Veterinary Partnerships on Long Island.
Why Ceva, Why Now
I’ve already made my mark in big pharma. Now I want something different: a smaller, more innovative company where I can get in at the ground level and truly move the needle. Ceva’s focus on the field fits exactly where I am. Right now I want to keep bringing value to the Long Island territory I’ve spent 20 years building, putting my relationships with veterinarians, specialists, and key opinion leaders to work for an important launch. When the time is right, I’d like to grow into strategic corporate accounts, and eventually help pioneer that into a full division at Ceva.

My Philosophy
"Clinic-level success requires more than product placement — it demands a genuine investment in each hospital's business."
Relationships first.
Trust is built with the whole practice — doctors, technicians, and front desk alike.
Education drives adoption.
Continuing education and KOL engagement turn products into protocols.
Partnership over transaction.
Revenue analysis, staff training, and consistent follow-up grow a practice's business, not just an order.
Trusted by the Veterinary Industry
Gwen's use of all the tools in the box and aggressive pursuit of her goals made her Circle of Excellence win no surprise. Excellent job!
Gwen demonstrated from early in her tenure that she understood what business is all about.
She is definitely a leader rather than a follower. Beyond her excellent relationships, she has become a top salesman more than once — and she is a dependable team player.
You are a great rep who puts a human face on an impersonal megacorporation. You are a good friend to my practice and have helped make it a success. Forever grateful.
We were initially hesitant about NexGard Plus. Gwen took the time to thoroughly explain the market potential and ran a revenue comparison. It has significantly boosted our sales and revenue.
Gwen went through our P&L in detail, pinpointed areas where we could improve profitability and put a plan in place that was a huge success.
I have known and worked with Gwen for nearly 20 years, and she has consistently been a valued partner to our veterinary practice — product training, innovative solutions, and reliable support.
Gwen Wesselhoft is a powerhouse in the pet health industry. She leads with grace, drives results with determination, and brings people together with her natural charisma.
What distinguishes Gwen is her willingness to go above and beyond expectations. She is reliable, proactive, and genuinely invested in my hospital and business.
Raised on a Farm
The hardest—and most rewarding—job I’ve ever had.
I grew up in Massachusetts on a 4th generation dairy and horse farm. Raised by a single dad and all sisters, I learned early on what it means to show up, work hard, and take responsibility.
Caring for over 60 horses and competing in the Morgan show circuit taught me discipline, resilience, and a strong work ethic—core values that remain the foundation of everything I do today.
